MEDiA and My Generation.

Are we to blame technology for what it brought forth in terms of bridging up the barriers between world —it occurrences, and the people living in it? Or is it just some persons like me that are way oversensitive on the deteriorating causal effect of media? —well, maybe.
I mean, the media that we so had faith in and so trusted is now a misleading tool to our generation. Why did i say this? Haven't we seen how fast our growing teens and youths already turned "media whores"? —Media Whore is a person who craves media attention; someone who will apparently do anything to remain in the media spotlight, all because of short termed recognition on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and whatchamahoozies.
Along the way also, adults —our parents, robbed of their back then versed acquaint content of happenings with filter added reports of nowadays in every newspaper column inch and news headlines of daily report.
What is happening to the media circus of our generation? Daily news report no longer bless us with current events of reality. The only near in blessing news feed that claims our hearing and listening over the radio is during elections and political appointments and now that we both can hear and see these events of recency on our various televisions in different sizes; no more interesting and overwhelming content to solace our anticipations upon. That's too bad! So bad!
So bad to the extent of us getting atom of truth just from the session of weather forecast and commercials. —What happened to the originality of what ye reporters saw? Oh! Is it the "powerful" that now render fabricated events over real events under yer nose?
Are we ever gaining back the chance of seeing and hearing about the current reality(ies) of our own very country on our own very indigenous radio stations and tv channels? Or so shall we continue to get ourselves apprised with our own real happenings on foreign stations and channels like CNN, the BBC, DWtv and what have you?
Aye, we know ye newscasters, newsreaders or reporters, whichever ye regard yerselves to be, are into being what you are just for the sake of survival —to make ends meet, innit? But, whatever happened to your moral sense(s)? Why has it now turned to an excuse of your group to be bought of its reputable significance over price totem privileges? Or is it a thing of dibs to be paid over "truth" now?
Render to us current reality(ies) as we still idolize every broadcasted news at their fixed time frame and leave us be, being the judge in accepting the reality update or not.

Then again, is the surging life of pretense with acuity on social platforms just for what is that? FAME! Being famous without having a full idea of how much it would cost being 'in the public eye' setting in extension. People of this generation goes to the extreme edge in pleasing the features of social platforms forgetting to take a pause and run a rethought test concerning their future, make their dreams come alive through these platforms and for once be on the successful column of just a platform —i think that should matter most over huge likes on just pictures that has no value other than infamous reality with it captions in fakement.
Sure sure, there are the good sides of media but how most are we soothing our lifestyle to the good lane of it being the bestest of tools that might bring what we know how to do best into resurrected limelight and be of greater worth to the world and beyond? How often do we trust it —media, as a tool that makes our actions on information bonafide?
Let us not underestimate what the media is capable of with our state of ignorance. A greater factor of influence is MEDIA, let our generation be careful in making use of it properly and justly.
" Mass media remains the body of tool(s) in learning, communicating and re-inventing. "

Safe!

  1. This is the harsh reality we are dealing with. All I'm going to say is that, the media is a powerful tool like you stated. How you choose to use it is what matters. We shouldn't let others fake lives on social media derive us into depression or feel less of a human being. My advice, take everything you see on social media with a pinch of salt. It's just unfortunate that we are living in lies.

    1. Yes, many choose to wake up on daily basis checking on the wall or timeline of those they know not but have decided to moronically just base their lifestyle on what that very person does which might be 89.9999% far from what the person truly is when placed on a physical contact desk. Alot already died, depressed and are affected by social media jot due to the great power of it and no metre to measure out the content of lies in every of what is shown to the public.
